From its dependence on hunting and agriculture, Nagaland has initiated major reforms in law & order, fiscal management, personnel policies and institutional structure thereby emerging as a prominent reforming state in the North East Region. Other initiatives include rightsizing of State bureaucracy, widening of tax base and rationalizing of tax structure.
