Nagaland Handloom & Handicrafts Development
Corporation (NHHDC) |
This
Corporation with several outlets and showrooms within
and outside the state is vested with the promotion
and marketing of handloom and handicraft products
of the state.
The Corporation organizes and participates in various
exhibitions and festivals to showcase the rich traditional
wares of the state and is currently in the process
of restructuring to meet the dynamic market demands.

The
NSCB with a wide network of branches all over the
state implement schemes of NABARD.
The NSCB with its deep penetration into the rural
sector of the state is the sole player in advancing
much needed credit to the agro and farming sectors
in the state. |

North Eastern Development Finance Corporation
(NEDFi) |
NEDFi
incorporated in August 1995 is promoted by a host
of All India Financial Institutions and banks with
the objective to provide a comprehensive package
for the economic development of the Northeast. NEDFi
has assisted a number of projects in the region
including Nagaland.
NEDFi also has a branch office in Nagaland at Dimapur.

North Eastern Industrial Consultants Ltd (NECON) |
The
North Eastern Industrial Consultants Ltd also has
been promoted by a host of All India Financial Institutions,
banks and SIDCs including NIDC to provide consultancy
assistance and professional services to all classes
of entrepreneurs.
NECON assists entrepreneurs in preparation of Project
Reports, conducts and prepares Techno-Economic Feasibility
Reports and also undertakes studies & surveys to
identify suitable industries in the region.
Entrepreneurship Development Programs are conducted
regularly by NECON for different target groups.
With its Head Office in Agartala, NECON has a Branch
Office at Dimapur and Kohima in Nagaland. |

Small Industries Service Institute (SISI) |
The
Branch Small Industries Service Institute, Dimapur
is a part of the Small Industries Development Organization
(SIDO). The SIDO is the apex agency for policy formulation,
co-ordination and monitoring the program for development
of small-scale industries.

Banks |
The
State Bank of India with a Zonal Office at Dimapur
is the Lead Bank of the state.
Other Banks operating in Nagaland are Allahabad
Bank, Bank of Baroda, UCO Bank, United Bank of India,
Vijaya Bank, Central Bank of India, Federal Bank,
Punjab & Sind Bank, Indian Bank, Nagaland State
Co-operative Bank and Nagaland Rural Bank.
All together there are 94 bank branches in the state
out of which 51 branches are located in the Rural
sector, 36 in the Sub-urban sector and 7 branches
in the Urban sector. |
